I came across a screen recording program that tracks your cursor as I explore different methods of data collection. It may have less to do with privacy and security on a desktop, but speaks more to the fact that nearly everything we do throughout the day can be watched or tracked. If this were a smartphone or tablet though, keycodes, passwords, or swipes could easily be recorded and analyzed. Today aired an interesting video on digital footprints, which is not ground-breaking news, but it underscores the point that digital privacy is entering a larger public discourse.
